I started to take pictures as a 10 year old child and I have never stopped. Photography has traditions in my family, my mother wanted to do it for living, but WW II kept her from fulfilling her dream, yet through a photography contest she got to know my father when she was only 17. During my high school years I took some artistic shots of flowers, and when I presented them in art class they awakened the interest of a girl, who later became my wife. She fell in love with me through my pictures.
I took pictures of dance, musicians and landscapes, but my prime interest was nature. In Hungary, Europe, I received my diploma in photojournalism and worked for a magazine for several years. I have been a member of the Hungarian Federation of Journalist since 1985. Later I shot for a picture agency in Germany. In those years my interest diversified, but finding beauty through photography remained my goal. In the United States I wanted to capture the beauty of this land first, when we arrived in 1992. I had to venture into different areas of work but photography remained always my creative outlet.
My photos were published in several books in the U.S. and in Europe. I taught photography from 1993 until 1998. A little over ten years later I'm continuing with the teaching aspect of Photography at The Light Factory. Come and join my class if you are interested. ( www.lightfactory.org )
Photography for me is finding the unique, building relationships, seeing and showing the art in every day. Through my photography I try to convey feelings of wonder. I feel inspired to transform my passion into a business and share my way of capturing life’s joys and beauties with others.
